This is Principal Brandon Frink with a short announcement. I hope
everyone has a restful and fun break. With that said, I do have
an important message to relay to you. As many of you have heard,
all students must complete the form reporting their vaccination
or exemption status by 11/30/21. Thanksgiving break is a great
time to schedule your student’s vaccination, meet with a
physician if filing an exemption and get your paperwork
completed. SCUSD is also posting school site and community
vaccination clinic opportunities on the website.
Good Evening parents and guardians, this is Principal Frink at
Elder Creek with a few important announcements. I know many of
you have questions about the start of school, safety measures,
and general procedures for the site. Unfortunately, due to
Covid-19 we are unable to hold any orientation events, except for
our kinder students. To help answer as many of your questions as
possible, we will be holding an informational Zoom meeting on
Monday, Aug. 30th at 6 p.m.
Elder Creek’s Chinese Immersion program has open spaces for its
2021-22 kindergarten class. The program helps students attain
language proficiency in both Chinese (Cantonese) and English,
through a dual immersion model. Interested kinder parents can
enroll by calling the school at 916-395-4555 or picking up a
packet in front of the school. We will be enrolling new students
on-site until Sept 10th.
P-EBT is a federal program. The California Department of Social
Services (CDSS), in collaboration with the California Department
of Education (CDE), received approval to operate the program in
response to COVID-19 related school closures. P-EBT provides food
benefits to help families with children who are eligible for free
or reduced-price school meals through the federal School
Breakfast or National School Lunch Programs.

To report your student’s absence, please complete this web form
or call the office at (916) 395-4555.
Read each option thoroughly and select the reason that best
describes your student’s absence. Please note that office staff
may call to verify as necessary.
Allow 1-2 school days for attendance to be processed.
THANK YOU for helping your student attend as often as possible in
order to stay on track. Attendance MATTERS!
