Changes to Cohorts!

Hello Elder Creek Families,

As you might have heard, our district has determined that based on current attendance, many EK-6 classrooms have enough physical space to allow students to attend in-person for four days per week rather than two. Unfortunately, not all of our classrooms have this capacity, based on attendance and the six-foot physical distancing as required by our agreements with labor partners.

2020-2021 Expanded Learning
afterschool program


The Application is currently live and will close on March 24th at 11:59 PM.  Following the end of in-person learning, students will be able to participate in engaging experiences and physically distanced activities in the expanded learning space including, but not limited to: academic support, sports, art, dance, STEM, and other outdoor activities.  The Expanded Learning program will run for 3.5 hours after the conclusion of the regular day.   You will receive a call from our Expanded Learning team during April 5 – 7 regarding your student’s enrollment in the E

We are excited to announce that schools will reopen soon with strict measures in place to protect the health and safety of our students and staff. We now need you to tell us how you want your student to participate when we return together.






“Get Out and Go!” Challenge
Complete the challenge for a chance to win prizes!

February is American Heart Month! To celebrate healthy hearts and healthy minds, Elder Creek is encouraging students and their families to go outside throughout the month of February and complete the “Get Out and Go!” Bingo Challenge. Complete any five activities in a row on the Bingo sheet to enter for a chance to win a Kids Fit Bit or Razor Scooter!  Contact Jordan Grimaldi at with any questions, comments, or concerns.


Here’s how to participate:

  • Complete a bingo (five activities in a row).
  • Take a photo for each activity that you complete.
  • Send your photos to Jordan Grimaldi ( by February 28th to be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a Kids Fit Bit or a scooter!
  • To be eligible for the prize raffle, make sure to include:
    • Your full name (first and last)
    • Your teacher’s name
    • Your grade level
    • A list of the activities you completed OR a copy of your completed bingo sheet
    • Your 5 photos
  • Only one bingo is needed to be entered into the raffle! Only one submission per student.

One Grand Prize (schoolwide): Scooter

Secondary Prizes (one per grade): Kids Fit Bit

School Closures Due to COVID-19

Information on Distance Learning

  • In response to public health conditions and under guidance by state and county local officials, Sac City Unified will begin the 2020-21 academic year with a full distance learning model.

Need WiFi?

  • Sac City Families: Please call the Attendance and Engagement Office at (916) 643-2121 for help getting connected to internet service. 
  • Kids Connect Program: partnership with Sac City Unified, City of Sacramento and Comcast to provide eligible Sac City Unified families with free internet at home for six months.
