Register for Transitional Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 School Year

To be eligible to register for transitional kindergarten for Fall 2024, children must be five years old September 2, 2024, through June 2, 2025.  Learn more on the SCUSD Transitional Kindergarten website. 

Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment is an opportunity for each student who resides permanently within the boundaries of Sacramento City Unified School District to apply for enrollment for schools (Grades K-8) within the district, when space is available. 

The 2025-2026 Open Enrollment period will open in February 2025. Please go to the SCUSD Open Enrollment website for more information on how to apply. 

Intra-District and Inter-District Permits

Applications for Intra-District and Inter-District permits are accepted April 15, 2024 – May 3, 2024. Visit the SCUSD Permit Process website for more information.
